my stock jr racing radio and gear in my losi aftershock is starting to act up. first one sterring servo would twist and lock up then the radio was turned on. just now the second servo went from being fine and less the a minute(time it takes to shut down and fuel thats all) it went from being good to twisting and jolting to one side when the radio is switched on. they have possably been exposed to water recently but have worked well after that. I'm wondering if it is actualy the servos acting up or its something with the transmitter or receiver. any sudgestions apreciated

The Jr 590 and 650 servos don't last, period. I was going to say send them to Horizon but you got them wet so you can forget that.:hehe:
Buy a quality set of servos. They will pay for themselves in the long run.
The LST/Aftershock platforms cannot accept larger servos such as the JR9000 or 9100 series without dremeling the chassis.
A couple of digital Hitec servos would be a good choice. 2 5645 models will fit and be a big improvement. These are pretty damn water resistant as well.
Synchronizing the servos is a PITA on that truck, but it is a must do thing. Make sure the servos are not fighting each other. I had to do it several times for a friend's truck, took us a while to get it right.

I've got a set of futabas that are metal gear driven i did up for my boat a while ago to be perfectly watertight. just have to get them back from my friend who has the boat to see if he wants to bothe fixing it and buy it. i just wanted to know if it was anything in the transmitter or reciever because they just went randomly

Nope, very common for those servos. About 20 peope I know have been through dozens of them, including myself. just poor quality.

so slap on in a set of futaba servos and i should be fine. these have been sunken before so i know there waterproof

As long as they have the torque to do the job. MT's need roughly 200 oz of torque (total) at a minimum to operate without straining the servos. I use 300+ oz torque servos, on all my 1/8th scale trucks. They last for years. None of my rigs require two steering servos though. The Aftershock is a heavy beast with big heavy tires. It is a lot more fun to drive with powerful servos.
