I had an epiphany today while running my MERV out in the front of the house. about a year ago I had occasional interference on my Tmaxx with the then AM TX/RX, got frustrated and upgraded to FM. Well today while running the AM equipped MERV I got interfence again, then it hit me. I live one block away (150yds) from my daughters school and last year they remodeled it and one item they added was a low power AM TX that broadcasts school info. :whhooo: Nothing worse for an RC controller than a bigger AM transmitter squashing my signals.
Hmmm, maybe I need to find their antenna and grab my chainsaw. Ha Ha lol

When I had AM in the Tmaxx and was working on it in the garage it would occasionally "freak out", just like the MERV is now. Once I upgraded toh maxx to FM all problems went away. Also when in other areas, such as fields and such the MERV's AM works fine, so I don't think the TX/Rx has issues. I think, like Rolex suggested, It's time to for FM. I picked up the MERV so I can quickly and easily goof around the house thus satisfying my RC need/fix.
