I've read about it somewhere. The guy that had it was having issues getting it to shift well and consistent. He ended up removing it and going back to 2 speed.

From what i understand, you actually get a 2 speed clutch bell and spur gear, which coincides with the 2 speed in the trans. Apparently it's a pain to get the shift points accurate.

Also, it puts more gears out in the open for easier damage.
 
One of our hardcore members, El Pirata, ran one for a little while. He did not find that it worked well off road. In fact, if I remember correctly he dumped it shortly after installing it. Not enough oomph for him.

From what I know of three speed transmissions, they are great for on road racing and long tracks. Not so good for short windy tracks and off road conditions. Why? Rarely get the speed up to shift into third gear...and that means you loose the top third of your powerband...not fun.
