I was just wondering if the Savage had a low stance for racing and better handeling. It just popped into my mind, no biggy or anything. I know a couple other vehicles have it? Any of you guys know?

you can't just set the truck with a lower stance, but it can be modified to have one,

Lowered center of gravity TVP's and different shock set up will get the CG down some and greatly improve handling on the track.

you can cut the springs down also. i lowered mine the other day racing it. and hwen i hit jumps the nose tends to want to dip. i raised it back up and the center of gravity was equal when the truck was in the air. totally level unlike the lowering of it where the front always wanted to drop first.

I put shock limiters on mine. I took some fuel tubing and put it in the shocks and it keeps that shocks from completely expanding. If your interested in this idea then ask me what size fuel tubing to run and what kind of stance ur looking to get.
I did this and it works awsome, a few other savage racers taught me this trick.

you can also use zip ties to keep the shocks from expanding completely

thats a really cool idea, i might want to try that.

I removed 4 of the 8 shocks on mine & used stiff (black) springs on the remaining 4.

This gives it a pretty low center of gravity, keeps the stock shock/arm travel length and removes some unneeded wieght.

Works real good on my track - makes the Savage stick like glue in the corners, in fact I can't even recall the last time I rolled my Savage.

I tried using the "zip tie method" using all 8 shocks to lower my center of gravity, but on the rougher sections of my track the limited shock/arm travel length really got "bumpy" & wasn't smooth at all like with the 4 shock setup.

I probably wouldnt suggest getting some serious air with only 4 shocks, but then again you are asking about improving handling for racing.
