I only heard what he said Friday night about Joey driving away. I did not consider it to be "whiny" though. He simply seemed VERY surprised that Logano was able to pull away on old tires.

I got pretty upset this morning when I could not find the F1 race on t.v.. I realized that it's on FOX this week again but it was not there. After I had a chat session with a Time Warner tech and a reboot did not help (I didn't think that it would anyways) I realized maybe it was time delayed... it was. Duh! They delayed an 8 a.m. race until 3 in the afternoon. whatever.

He was wining about how all he can get are "points" and no wins. How hes finished no worse than 2nd in the last 6 nationwide races, but only won one of them.

Kyle Busch is not a championship driver because he doesn't think like a champion. Nobody will ever say he doesn't race hard but there are far fewer that will stand up and defend that he races smart. It's just not his mindset - yet. Once he blows enough possible championship seasons trying to win every every race he might learn something about racing. Sometimes slower is faster. Sometimes patience prevails. Kyle Busch has no patience and until he finds some he will not be a Cup Champion.

It has been a bit dead. I think one reason is because NASCAR has hit that really dull part of the season. For me, it gets really stale just before the chase. A alot of crappy races. I despise Pocono. I think it's perhaps the worst track on the circuit. And they choose to run there twice only 4 weeks apart. Indy is ok, but still not all that great. Watkins Glen. Again, fair. For me, the pinnacle tracks are Daytona, Talladega, Bristol and Charlotte. The rest are just more of the same after 26 races. So I'm watching, but not really giving a poop. I'll be more interested after the points reset that puts Martin in the lead. We'll see what happens then.

As for F1, my only complaint is there's a 4 week hiatus which will cause me to lose track. However, I'll be a bit more interested now that Schumacher is going to drop into Massa's car for Spain. I do hope Massa is ok. That was a tough hit he took. I watched it about 5 times and can only imagine what that must have done. That spring hit him hard and I was almost certain he was out cold before he hit the barrier. I wish him well.

There's no doubt he was out cold. I distincly recall the sound of the engine going lull abruptly after the impact..

It was like WAAAAAAAAA!*spring*Aaaaaaaaaaaa...............thump. *wall*

The sound of it was very freaky to me. He was out cold instantly. Absolutely no pressure to the throttle whatsoever.. the rpms starting dropping the instant the spring hit him. Absolutely amazing that he is walking around. The FIA spent 8 years developing the current helmet. F1 technology is absolutely amazing... absolutely amazing.

The only thing that make me think he was just dazed is that the brakes were full lock going into the barrier. But he was definitely clueless. Just a really bizarre, scary accident.

I heard someone (can't remember who now) that they had heard NASCAR mentioned something about a coin toss to decide if they would run clockwise or counter. Or just go each way each time they go to the same track twice. Anybody know anything?

So I'm supposed to be goin to the race sunday for sure, and now someone asked if I want to go tomorrow night, too. I guess I can take that offer up.

I'm actually really excited to see Fisi in a Ferrari for the rest of the season. I find it inspirational that somebody who wanted something for soooo long has finally gotten their chance. Very cool IMO.

That is cool. He's the test driver right? It still would have been cool to see Schumacher back for a bit.

He's going to race in place of Massa for the rest of this season. I think he may be a test driver at Ferrari next year when Massa returns (as they expect)

Big race tonight fellas! I'm pullin for Vickers to get in and Shrub to stay out. I'd like to see Biffle stay in the hunt and wouldn't mind if Kenseth (stole Jaime's sponsor :hehe) got shuffled.

I was glad to see Kyle not make it in. I am now hoping that Martin spanks them all! LOL

Looks like I got all that I wished for :) I'm on the Mark Martin bandwagon as well.:thumbup: I ran across the Sprint Drivermatch the otherday and it matched me up with MM too.

I'm so glad that Bush didn't make it. Not because I don't like him, but because that would be yet another BS Chase thing. I mean he was 14th going into Richmond. If he hit the top 12, he would have started Loudon in 1st. That's crap. You don't go from 14th to 1st in one race.

And don't get me started on Jimmy Johnson. Without the chase format, he would never have 3 in a row.

Go Jeff!

So it looks like the only decent ride out there for Jaime next year is the 1 car at EGR. I hear Pat Tryson is going over there. Unfortunatly I'm soooo NOT a Bass Pro Shop kind of guy and quite frankly neither is Jaime, but a sponsor is a sponsor these days. So basically the entire #26 team is shut down. I keep hoping Tony will start a 3rd team and bring Jaime on-board. Reed is out of a ride is seems as well as Stremme again. I guess the Nationwide series racing stands to get a bit more competitive next season.

for as much as it pains me to say this, the last rumor i heard about Stewart-Haas and a 3rd team involved Danika Patrick.

I've heard that if she does indeed make the move over to Nascar that she would more than likely run quite a bit of Nationwide first. You got something against her Jeff? I don't watch a whole lot of Indycar so I'm really not that familiar with her aside from the fact that she's a pretty gal. She's a commodity (even in Nascar) because she's so marketable.. which makes sponsorship agreements A LOT easier. Stewart-Haas Racing + Danika Patrick is a big win for any fortune 500 company who wants to put their logo on a car. There's no doubt that car would get no less television time than Dale Jr. ever did or does.
