I just put on my new jp1 exhaust and I ran my truck and it was running a little hot, the temp was about 255-260. I richened up the high speed neddle a little bit and got the temp to around 240-245 but it was going a little slower. When I had my stock exhaust the temp was at about 230 where I like it and it perdormed very well. My question is will richen up the lowspeed neddle lower temps or does only richening up the high speed neddle lower temps. I richened up the low speed nedd a little too. Thank's

~Adam

The JP-1 is a bottom end pipe (as in for improving bottom end performance) so you will probably see a decrease in top end speed.

Changing the LSN or HSN will affect temps. The HSN affects temps/tune throughout the entire RPM range. The LSN affects temps/tune from idle to about 1/4-1/3 throttle.

That's why most people recommend that you get it running and idling, then tune your WOT runs for a clean sound with plenty of smoke via the HSN. Once the HSN is dialed, then you adjust the LSN for quick hole shots and proper idle drop.

Changing the HSN has an effect on the tune of the LSN.

Is that temp after running around? I personnaly don't see a problem with the temp as long as your leaving a good smoke trail. If that's the temp you're getting after running around and a couple high speed passes and you want to bring it down, fatten up the HSN an hour.
