Well the One Way Bearing goes over the end of the crankshaft....and from there you can have different back plates. Pull Starter, Roto Start, Traxxas EZ-Start are the 3 typical ones....but there are a few other variations as well.

I have seen a few guys just use a One Way Bearing in a socket as well...and start the engine that way.

I start my nitro with a small 12volt Milwaukee cordless drill, on the one way bearing that came out of my broken pull cord, using a 12mm socket, and extension bar.

I wrapped the one way bearing nut in tape so it jams into the socket :)

I'll make a video if you're at all interested?

i have a tmaxx and dont think i could squeeze this socket and all through the shock tower. i also thought about the tiger drive. are these good?

Yes, tigerdrives are good. Rotostarts are cheaper and basically the same principal though.

What kind of rig is this 3.3 on? Ir might be better to use a pull-start on it instead. Just a thought.

its on a tmaxx 2.5 with a 3.3 on it. i was kinda wanting to get away from the pullstart becuz the springs in them break easy. i can post pics if you want me too.
