Picked it up on eBay already mounted to the stand, bought a rebuild kit but decided to give it a go anyway - fueled it up, primed it, and it started on the first flick!

Edit: also set the needle valve to 2.5 turns, running Brodak 1/2A fuel, 25% nitro, 11% castor+11% synthetic. It loves it, as you can see:

Stopped it when I realized it had started backwards

Wow, she sounds great.

Thanks! I'm hypnotized by its charm myself.

I'm going to put it on a mini-stick, I love the simple lines and unbelievably tiny nature of this engine, just as much as a meaty four-stroke with all its sophistication.

It looked newer after running it, the hot oil/exhaust cleaned it right up:

I recently got a COX .049 engine and a FOX .35 engine and a McCoy .35 engine for free from a neighbor. I have yet to start them, but I’m hoping to do it sometime soon!
I have a NIB McCoy and a bunch of .049 motors around somewhere. I'd like to hear how it goes.👍
They were my intro to nitro. ❤️😎
