I was wondering if the lipo batteries have to be completly discharged before i recharge them. I ran my 2 3s lipos in my merv till the lvd kicked in and i wanna make sure before i recharge them if i have to discharge them first.

Now lets say that i finished running for a while and the batteries haven't hit the LVC yet. . .can i recharge them from there or would i have to discharge them?. . .sorry for the noob questions but i don't wanna screw anything up, or burn my house down

I've read that lipos can be charged from any where between full and low voltage. Not sure if they benefit from cycling or not.

I have always just charged/ballanced mine from whatever state they happen to be in because everything I read said cycling didn't matter with Lipos.

well theres 2 of the same answers. . so i will do that guys. . i really appreciate the help

Never drain your lipos, they will die. There is no memory effects with lipos. It's best to stop as soon as you feel the power drop off. Storing them , they need to be about 1/2 to 3/4 of a full charge and balanced. I always balance charge mine when I have the time. If I'm in a rush, I'll charge them normally.
