RC Driving Style
Hi to all here.I'm new to the rc hobbies and I have to say it looks quite exciting !I have a question concerning the Tmaxx and for that matter even a Savage.I've done a lot of research as to the hobbie (I don't own one yet)I have a friend with a new Tmaxx and it's a really cool ride but he's already had to put about 60 bucks in parts due to just learning how to drive the thing,of course I've not seen anything else run either.I think I like the ideal of the 1/8th instead of the1/10th,so my question is why not the Tmaxx nitro 1/8th?It looks like it's duked out pretty good with a 24.7 sized engine plus other extras too.I was wondering if anyone knows if this truck has the reverse like the Tmaxx1/10 scale? The nitro maxx is for pre-ordering only, is it something new?The price on this truck is $460.00.Does anyone know about this truck. Thanks for any help.

wow 460 for a maxx where the hell are you ordering ur from you can get em for around 400 at tower and its inevidible(sp?) in this hobby your GOING to break stuff its and exspensive hobby but well worth it

I dont know why traxxas made it a 1/10 i think it should have been a 1/8 also but i still love the maxx and after using my maxx and my nextdoor neighbors .25 savage i personally would rather have the maxx but other people think differently and like the savage better its preference but the savage is more duable OUT OF THE BOX but once you start putting hop ups on the maxx it can well exceed the savage IMO

Thanks for the reply.I was just checking around the net and came of with nextel pricing both Tmaxx's The 1/10 model is $400.00 and the 1/8th is $460.00.I've personally found the Tmaxx(1/10)for $388.00 I was just wondering if most people like the savage because it has a bigger engine and it's tougher out the box then why not go with the bigger Tmaxx with the big block engine?

I'm a bit confused. As far as I know, Traxxas doesn't make a 1/8 scale Maxx with an XTM 24.7 engine. I am thinking this is some aftermarked modded Maxx that's for sale. Might you have a link to it? That might clear things up...

Ok I am freaking confused. I think they are talking about a Mammoth. If that is what they are talking about then please be careful with this truck as you bend the aluminum shock towers very easily. I have had to help tune 4 of my buddies and one had a blown engine after 2 quarts and he never tuned for speed. He also never used ARO but I did that with my RTR 3 for 3/4 of a gallon. As far as the truck they advertise it must be a misprint.

Whoa whoa whao. The X-terminator is a 1/8 buggy made my XTM. It's not a Maxx. Heck, it's not even in the same category. Maniac, I will say that you quoted well what you read. But the ad at that link is perhaps the most amazingly MISLEADING advertizement I have ever seen. Do not buy that. What they are advertizing and what they are really selling are 2 totally different things.

Go here to see the real X-terminator:

And for anyone else who's interested in seeing this totally misleading and false advertizement, check this link:

HAHAHAHA the x-terminator doesn't look like a truck to me or have a big block you must be talkin about somethin else the that (i hope) butyou will love your monster truck wno matter which truck it is i love my maxx haha
