hi guys i am getting ready to run my new truggy

Thunder Tiger Tomahawk ST

I have got my rechargeable AA batteries and charger — ( got to say those ansmann TX RX dual chargers are brilliant only 70MA charge rate but still good for over night )

I have got my glow starters charged all 6 of them ( bought a RC car for spares / repair came with loads of stuff )

First off i need some things before i run it

I have to get a fail safe for starters I'm not even going run it until i get one

What fuel to use to run my Thunder tiger pro .18BX
Nitro / Oil percentage ( would it be ok to run 10% Oil synthetic )

What Glow plug should i use for this engine

Also what temperature should i aim to keep it at

( the engine manuel is vague on what glow plugs are recommended and what fuel to use )

so what nitro/oil content and what glow plugs ?

thanks in advance craig

You will be fine with 10% oil. If you run 20% you need a medium to hot plug. If you run 25-30% you need a medium to colder plug. Also you can get an OFNA fail safe for around $10-$12 or so and they work fine. Make sure you follow the manuals breakin procedure exactly for warranty issues and to maximize your engine life.

Also good running temps will range from 220-250. Some engines may even run better around the 270-275 mark. If you start seeing temps over 280 your getting too hot and need to richen up.

You'll want to to get a rechargeable receiver (RX) battery pack for your truggy. It has 5-cells and provides 6 volts vs. 4 AA rechargeables and 4.8 volts. The 4 AA batteries could cause the truck to have a low voltage situation and cause a runaway truck.

The temperature is just a guide. Tune for performance.

thanks guys got my fuel today its not a new truggy just new to me but i will treat the engine like it needs breaking in any way
