Yea I agree try it on your truck and when it breaks let us know. I mean come on really some people.

I aint got the money for all that but ill put some big joes on the rear and some phaltlines on the front. I've been doing some reading...on a real car they say .1" is enough to destroy a tcase on real car. those tires are a little more extreme than that on an 1/8 scale truck. difference is everything on an rc is direct drive no tcase or center diff.

Dude, if you dont have the $$ "for all that" then take the advice of the veteran guys around here, and dont try to prove them wrong. You will end up with something broken.

When you have tires of different sizes on the rig, they turn a different amount for a set distance. so lets say over 20 yards. the big tire turns 200 times. the smaller one is going to have to spin 350 times over the same distance. so the front diff, outdrives and driveshaft spin 350 times. the rear diff, outdrives and driveshaft spin 200 times. this is going to put serious strain on the drivetrain. something has to give. if the tires slip, it wont be so bad, but if they grip, your going to shear off teeth in the diffs, break a driveshaft, outdrive, or smash the trans.

its really pretty simple physics, and I'm not sure what about it you cannot grasp.

why argue with everyone???? he kinda agrees and then disagrees.. I said the same thing go run a good bash with it like that and let us know how long it last.. and yeah a video would be great so we can watch it break.... carnage is great when it isnt your rig breaking l.o.l.....I might not be a vet. on the site but like i said before its also not like there is only one person on here saying no dont do its all of us.. some people are just out there to try and prove people wrong..

oh well no skin off my a#*

i've been off-roading for years with trucks and off-road crawlers..if your vehicle is 4wd, u best have the same size tires all the way around unless you got a nice big fat wallet. also, even if your truck or car or w/e is only 2wd, your 2 driving tires better be the same size as well...diffs dont like spinning more on one side than the other..good way to burn clutchs outta the diffs.

as for when I'm wheelin, i got spools in my rig...so oddball size's in any corner, is a no no...if i destroy a rim or a tire, and we can't ether it back onto the rim...i park it..or get the spare out. i got WAY to much moeny into axles, diffs, and other components to just say heck with it and bolt some random tire on... TO the O.P. if ur buggy is 4wd, keep all 4 the same dood..my advice to you. otherwise, later on, we'll see you posting stuff about busted diffs or axles or driveshafts or something..i promise. lol

but.....but.....but....... sprint cars run different size tires and they go real fast.........

For the record, the diffs will run the same speed.

The smaller front tires will have to be pushed (scrubbed) along at the same rpm as the back tires. They will never spin faster or slower, they will just be forced along. The driveline will be under constant load and every time you land a wheelie or jump something it will be at risk of breaking.
