Does any one out there have a trinity pipe on there revo. I have been thinking about getting one but I'm told they are realy loud. Do they give you more performance than the stock one. Are there any other pipes that any one can sugest I like to have alot of bottom end but still have a fast top end. Someone help.

Try the new Traxxas upgrade pipe for the Revo. I have heard it really increases the bottom end and is reasonably quiet.

I personally have never had a Trinity, but I too have heard those things make an awful racket!

I have a CVEC pipe on mine and it really added some giddy-up on the low end.

You may want to wait until Jetmech, Revo Rancher and Truthseeker chime in as well. I know Truthseeker got the Traxxas Resonator pipe, and to hear him tell it, it's like he touched the hand of God or something! Rancher and Jet are Revo gurus as well, so I'd wait to see what they suggest.

Good luck!

well i didnt know if i wanted a trinity pipe but then i said heck wit it and got one and wow it makes a massive difference in all around power but i have to say the are a little loud but once you get used to it it isnt bad at all and it helps the motor keep a tune also

I had one with my TM. Didn't notice a big difference in power, but it is considerably louder. I found it to be more annoying than loud, it just really bugged the hell out of me. I ran it for like two race weekends and sold it.

first of all, i have the o.s. .18tm in my revo with the resonator pipe. with that engine, the difference in bottom end was HUGE. i have tried the pipe on the 2.5r and it also made a noticeable difference. i'm still trying to get a before and after video together with the pipe on both engines so i'll try to quantify it in words. basically, with the 2.5 and stock suspension settings, the truck will squat all the way down hard and just almost pick the front end up with the resonator where with the stock pipe it just squats some and doesn't seem to really bottom out the suspension as hard. if you're racing, you will see a reduction in the amount of run up you need to clear a big jump. the resonator adds a good chunk of bottom end power where the 2.5 and stock pipe is lacking.

well i have 2 both on revos

os 18 tm .. much louder then new traxxas revo pipe.. and dynos more then new traxas pipe allso..mill seems to run much better and cooler allso.
same with sirio .23

little note there is a little threaded end take that dam thing out gives way more power.. no clue why they add that junker to it.
mine fell out and the car seemed to come uncorked

dont get me wrong the traxxas aftermarket pipe is good.

The threaded reducer in the stinger is for bib blocks. If your running a small block they say leave it in, big block, take it out.

Sounds like it runs better with a SB with it out. I figure, if you can keep a consistant tune and you get low temps/good smoke, leave it out and enjoy the boost.

That seems low, are you even shifting? One of my race buds was having temp issues (real low) and the thing wouldn't shift, temps were under 210.

Just to clarify, are you saying the temp caused the tranny not to shift or the engine was cool because it wouldn't shift? Whats the downside to having an engine cooler than 210?

temp gun works..
runs cool around 207
shifts great
has tons of power

no clue what it is

and car on meto scale is 9.5 with full tank

Yes. If the engine is not up to proper temp t will not be performing at optimal performance. If it's not reaching high enough rpms it won't shift. Pretty much the same thing if you follow break in on the stock mill, you won't see it shift until after break-in.

as long as it's giving ya good smake trail and you got th epower you need it's all good...temps are a guidline not a rule.....

Possibly your temp gauge is off, possibly your mill just runs well at those temps. In all honesty I think OS lost something in the conversion from C to F on the temps as well as the English translation. Mine runs like poop below 220, I'm usually tuned for 240-250. Which that is also the temps the other guys I run with that have TM's try to hit.

trinity pipe is good for the 2.5 and the os18tm. Alot more low end torque. Yes its loud but those are the breaks when you want to go faster. But if you think thats loud then i would not upgrade to the rb323 set up because its much louder than the trinity pipe.
