What is the actual name of the covering over fuel line to block it from heat? I am putting in a order at tower and dont know the actual name. Please help me out. (I feel like a big dumbass asking this question..lol)

This sounds real dumb too...

"fuel line covers"

That might just be our name for the stuff.. but it works.

Here's an idea. I've got this on my truck. (Sorry WoodiE, haven't changed out yet!)

Get out the yellow pages and find an electric motor rebuilder. They'll have spools of hi-temp jacketing that they use to insulate wires. Chances are the amount you need isn't worth an invoice and they might give it to you. Bring a piece of fuel tubing.

I tried everything I could think of including "Fuel line covers" on the search for tower. So I ended up calling and not ordering any of it. I did ask a tech there and he said it wont hurt anything if a fuel line is resting ona exhaust pipe. Which I find it Extremly hard to believe that its going to be o.k. to have a rubber hose resting on something as hot as a exhaust.

Most fuel tubing is pretty darn heat tolerant. I actually melted my tank with an exaust header and the line looked like new.

Just so you know

I still run fuel line covering in HOT areas too.

Thanks Guys!

Wdavid~ That looks exactly how mine is set up. Is that a 8 port in a Maxx?? Mine looks identical. I think Ill do that re router too. You should manufature and patent them babies, thats a good idea!

It's a Picco Outlaw .26

I don't know how many ports that sumbitch has...
