oks o i got my car today...the battery box is just a box on the back...the on off switch goes to my reciver and then the other end of the switch is just 2 wires not hokked up to anything. What do i do? what kind of voltage do i need and how do i do it? I've been looking into rx packs but they are kinda expensive with chargers so i was thinking...i already has a lithium ION charger from my xmod hobby, would i be able to put lithiums in it?

well i found 2 small lithiums that i could sauder together or more of diffrent kinds depending on voltage but i think it needs 6 volts if I'm right.

well here is what i found:

http://www.batteryspace.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWCATS&Category=270

that is a page with rx packs only i would need a charger.

http://www.batteryspace.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=2426

and then that page i could sauder the 2 mini cells together and wire them up..

btw...i have a RX pack included in my vehicle only i do not know what kind of charger to use and it also does not have a head...i can pick one up and Phils hobby shop but I'm not sure if i want to spend money on something m not going to use. I would really like to go with the lithium idea if it is ok...i already have a charger and that set me back 30 when i was lithiumizing xmods so you know its not a cheapo..

thanks in advance,
-Mark

Your RX needs a minimum of 4.8v to work, 6.0v is ideal.

As to the "what wires go where" question, post a picture of what you have. It'll make it easier to follow.

You can pickup a new RX charger for around $20,That pack is a 5 cell 6 volt.

The only problem there would be the lithium ion taking a hit if you land the truck square on the box. I read somewhere that if hit just right, they will explode. Whether or not that's true; I wouldn't want to use an R/C to find out.
