i have had my revo for about 2 years now and it has been in the closet most of the time (broke). well my local hobby shop had an RC show recently so i went. i took my truck to she shop cause it stripped out first gear.well after getting my truck back i ran it for less than and hour real hard and it stripped out my clutch bell gear. so i gotta order a gear. so my question is, is there any brand better than the other? and where can i get the new era mount for the picco .26 max?

truck info....
Revo 3.3 picco .26 max, FOC, trinity pipe

If you are running a picco .26 max you should be running a steel spur and clutch bell. I don't remember what bell I was running but all my spurs were integy. I know I know, but I never had a single problem with any of the Integy spur gears. If you are not going to run steel tranny gears then you will need to loosen your slipper more with that motor, especially if you have 40 series tires with good bite. What engine mount are you using? That could also contribute to a clutch bell stripping.

I believe this is the right mount for the picco .21 and .26 max including the red dot.

i am thinking its an ofna mount my truck is not here with me i left it down at my parents house. i don't remember seeing any kind of adjustment.

If it does not then you are very limited on your gear options. How does the mesh feel. Have you done the paper test on it.

I run the new era BB leaner mount in mine and I use plastic gears without a problem. As long as you don't land jumps while on the throttle, you should be fairly safe.

Pretty sure you can buy directly from NewEra to get the mount specific for the Picco 21/26:

I've also moved my trans forward about 1/4" so I could run an 1/8 scale flywheel/clutch/bell to get more power to the ground easier.

I only run an XTM 24.7 in it, but it gets around pretty good. I think I"m running close ratio trans gears as well with 14/38 CB/spur. Currently I'm fighting with finding a pipe that gives me good power but fits in the stock location. Just won a trinity pipe on ebay, so hopefully it will help.

no whats the paper test? i have a trinity pipe and love the sound of it. its loud as hell!

Good info starts at 50sec in the video.

ok so i got my new clutch bell gear installed ran it for 5 or 6 minutes and its stripped out... during the install i checked the gear mesh and seamed to look good! if i can't get this straighted out i am gonna have to sell my truck. i don't want to do that but hell if i can't play with it, it's useless to me!!

Ok... do you have the part number for the bell and for the spur gear that you bought?

Any chance you can take some clear close up photo's of your spur/cb area with the roll bar removed? And of the engine bay with the engine installed?
