question about Slayer

ok so I'm new to this forum. i was looking at getting the traxxas slayer, nitro version. Is it a good tuff truck. also is it upradible. Do they make parts for it

It is a decent rig, but needs tuning out of the box to keep it from rolling over on it's lid all the time.

It is based on the Revo but with shorter arms and drives, etc.

Depends on what you want. I am not sure if RPM makes arms for the Slayer yet, but if not they soon will. Most everything else can be upgraded with any Revo upgrade there is out there.

You can upgrade it until your blue in the face. As much as your wallet allows.

so any revo upgrades work on this? I'm mostly just looking for new rims and an exhaust. also different body.

Rims no, Slayer needs 2.2's not big ol' Revo's. Body--there are different ones but Revo bodies, no. Exhaust, yes.

Proline makes a couple different bodies for it. Just saying the Revo body won't fit.

thanks for changing it. can i use the double exhaust for the slayer or does it really make a difference.

I don't think you can use the double outlet exhaust unless you cut the body for the second stinger.

I'm not sure about that rig, but dual exhaust usually cuts down on power and performance and only LOOKS good.
