So i know its fine to go from a 20% up to a 30% but i have heard somewhere that its not good to go from a 30% back down to a 20%.Is this true?

you can change blends, but its best to stick with what you broke the engine in with. If you change % you will need to retune, and possibly add or remove a shim under the head button. I think you add one when you go up in %.

30% nitro is about as high as you should go on a ground rig.

so what your saying is i should stick with the 30%.just wondering than how much of a shorter engine life am i going to have as opposed to the 20%

I would not have a problem telling you to switch to 30% nitro from 20%, but I would not go backward. 20% is plenty for bashing and 30% is usually only something seasoned racers use. If you are already using 30% I would stick with it.

I always heard 20% will make your engine last longer etc etc but one of the vendors here in another thread says that 30% is actually better for your engine than 20%. As to whether you can switch back and forth between 20 and 30% I've done it on more than one occasion. Only thing that I've ever had to do is re-tune it but I am no expert. I can tell you though that engine has about 7 gallons through it now and its still running strong so I can't tell any noticeable side effects.
