Hi,has anyone got the same problem as me,my pullstart string keeps snapping,si
ck of buying new cord/string,anyone adv
ice.me of the best string/cord to buy?

Many thanks

Could it possibly be user error?? I've been using pull starts for 10+ years and have only snapped a few. My guess is you're pulling to hard and/or too far out.

The correct way is to not over prime the engine, it shouldn't be difficult to pull, and when you do pull do short quick pulls- it should start in 1-4 pulls, usually on the first or second. :)

Many thanks, also does it matter how long the cor
d/ string is?

Too long and there's a problem recoiling.
Go to Home Depot or Lowe's and get Venetian blind cord. Saves you some money.

It shouldn't matter how long the cord is as you're never pulling it that far, unless you've cut it and shortened it- if that's the case then do what Rolex said, or buy a new pullstart if they're cheap. :)
