Pullstart stuck now what?

Well I got my used Maxx a few weeks ago and just got around to getting
some nitro and I fileld it up, pulled on it a few times with no luck so I put my finger over the exhause to try and get some gas to the engine and it started for about 4 seconds before I hit the gas and it bogged down and died.

I tried to pull the pull start again and it did twice but the third time it just won't budge now. I took out the glow plug and turned it upside down and nothing came out so I am not sure what to try next.

This is a Sirio TX .18 and my first pull start, doing a search made me think it was probably just flooded but I can't pull it at all at the moment. :shrug: thanks in advance for any ideas. Not sure if I should try taking the pull start off next or what.

the spring coulda sprung.. the one way could be dirty or shot.. take the pull start off and clean it up and check the one way.. just be carefull not to let the center hub in the pull start come out cause the spring will pop out and you will have a hella job getting it back in.. oh but first make sure you can turn the motor over by hand ( or wrench) the pull rope should recoil even if the motor is messed up so i dont THINK its a problem with the motor

It might be hydolocked. I wish I could help with that, but I've never had a mill hydrolock on me. Mybe somebody will help more then I did.

Well actually this may be bad news for you. It can be stuck at top dead center and you can use a screwdriver or somthing else to turn the flywheel over to free it up. If that doesn't work this is kinda when the bad news starts up because if the piston won't go down (you have taken off the head at this point and can't push it down) somthing is probably busted like last time that happened to me the crankshaft was busted and lodged in the block were nothing would move.

BTW if you can find a screwdriver long and skinny enough see if you can find some kind of rubber to put over the end and see if you can push it down with that. If you can get it to go down then flip it upside down and pull the pullstart a couple of times and see if any fuel starts coming out. (Hydrolock) If you get the pullstart going though you will probably be ok.

Yeah the peepee that sold it to me told me he would 'clean it up' before it was shipped and it was pretty beat to death when I got it so I am going to check out those things first then rip it apart and clean it all up pretty good because it's in pretty rough shape now. The glowplug was stripped and there is all kinds of dirt and other stuff down where the washer and plug goes so it needs some work I guess I will start with the pull start first to try and see if it is just something wrong with that first.

yea vbgagnon hydrolocked is when you get to much fuel in the cylinder and it fills it up to where the piston wont go all the way up.. its easy to compress air.. but not easy to compress liquid.. therefor it gets stuck.. all you have to do is take the plug out and dump the fuel out..

if that doesn't work take the mill out and try to turn the flywheel like reptile stated.. if you can't do that then you may well be screwed.. the next step is taking the mill apart to see what you broke..
