Sorry any engine heated up enough with a hair dryer can be started. I have done it to a new Mugen 12 Picco 26 and a Sirio27. Just can't abuse it as the engine can damaged.

sorry this one eats pullstarts alive. i know, i have one. I've also spoken to at least 5 other guys that have them and go through pullstarts like they pop out of pez dispensers. i didnt even get 1 quart through it before the pullstart broke. and i dont abuse it. I've never broken a pullstart on any of my small blocks and i have over 10 gallons combined run on the 3 of them. I've broken 2 big block pullstarts within the same quart. my 528xsp starter broke on a hot restart too. so heating the engine before hand is a moot point. the compression of these engines is just too much for a pullstart to handle. i litteraly had blisters on my hand from the first 2 heatcycles the day i started breaking it in.

i never owned a big block with a pullstart because i use a chrome top box like everyone else...i was just showing the motor that is available in p/s versions.....i personally wouldn't buy a pull start motor...but thats just me

fantom's 21 w/a pull start. i'm goin that route (prolly non-pull, but same engine). 160 bux (plus 10 if u wanna run standard plugs, comes w/turbo plug button). cheap rebuilds and good power. even a rebuild service that they'll do for you cheap. very impressed by their .18s in the traxxas MTs, so i'm goin that route. the price of a new pod and either a p/s or even pinch and labor (4 the time u get w/it) on an RG, buy a new RG. my .02

i just utlized my new OFNA box 2day w/my SUT. wow, i think the ps will sit there 4 a while. (get rid of it later if the 1-way becomes a prob, its a lil tired as is).

sorry think you miss my point, these motors have that much pinch even after 10 ltrs thorugh them, even with a hot start, none of those big block you just listed are really even a high performance buggy engine, there is a reason that you can't get the top end motors in ps,
anyway how carries a hair dryer to the track with them, dont know about you but when I'm racing I'm not to worried about my hair lol Just joking with ya Jon2

Well that may be but I since I am not a racer I know what I have driven and tuned. Most motors can have a problem with starting if it is hot.

Maybe to an avid racer but comparing the standard stock run of the mill engines they are.
