I'm working on breaking in my collari and the damn pull start wont wont rcoil. Anyone know how to fix this?

When i give the truck gas it just sits there revs up. KNow how to fix this?
Its a fresh clutch but i think this may be where my problem lies....

What do you mean by slipping? Turning? If so no its not, i dont think.
The engine just revs and the nothing moves. I can bring the rev up and down so i know its not a leak. The pull start recoils it just takes it 5 minutes...

Is the one way in the right way? Did it work on the collari before?

The one way is internal, so only one way for it to be installed on the collari. Are you sure you installed the soft spring on your werks clutch? What happens if you give it a blip of WOT?

Sounds like the pullstart mechanism is binding.

If your engine runs, but the flywheel doesn't spin, you definitly have issues with your flywheel.

good to know. TY!!!

If you used the collet that came with your Collari with the werks clutch, then the diameter of the collet is too small. You need to use the stock S-25 collet.

I will see if i give a blip at wot if it will jump. I'm was afraid to beacause it is break in. I used the medium spring. The engine is real easy to start if i let it sit for a 1/2 hour so i will try in alittle. I will check and make shure the flywheel spins. I remeber the first tank at idel when it was sitting on the box if i gave it a little blip thw wheels would spin atad. Anyone else have the same problem with the pull start?

Liek olds said, if that flywheel is not spinning while the engine is running, then the flywheel is the problem. Check the collet, and use the larger one.

If it moves when you blip it then your clutch is possibly too light, you need to use the softest spring, not the medium spring.

I used the stock savage collet like you said to. I'm going try again right now...

Ok Here is the new good and bad.

GOOD: The flywheel spins at idle and when i blip the throttle the flywheel speeds up

BAD: The pull start is getting worse. So I'm going to rip the engine out try to fix the pull start and putt on the soft spring. I also have to make a new linkage that runs from the carb to the l thingy so itll be awhile.

try loosening the screws that hold the pullstart on. sometimes the cord binds up against the backing plate. when you loosen it up and it recoils smoothly take the screws out and put some lock-tite on them and just put them in to were it recoils caue you dont want air getting in back there. i can't screw the screws in the pullstart of the k46 or she binds.

i bet it those medium springs. use a soft spring for quicker engagement. i tried using a hard ofna buggy spring k46 and she wouldn't catch to save her life.

what kind of motor do you have digger?

Type .25 pull start on tower and it brings up a good one.

I finally got around to taking the engine out and taking it apart, and I found that between the back plate and the pull start there was just a bunch of oil, and the pull start works just fine off of the engine. Where in the blazes is the oil coming from??

S i shouldnt be alarmed?
I think i know why my clutch wouldnot engage. The entire crank was coverd in loctite...

first off that is weird. But I don't think it makes sense that that would keep your clutch from engaging. You say your flywheel spins fine right? If that's true then the problem is with your clutch, unless the flywheel was loose and only spinnin do to friction. But you already covered that.
