I want to upgrade to a pull start rather than the old ez-start. What is a good reliable brand to use and would it be a wise choice to install a pull start. I wouldn't have to worry about the batteries being dead :D

Get the traxxas brand. plenty cheap and reliable, makes your truck a bit lighter too.

Yeah it's the same on 2.5, 3.3 and sirio s27. I think it also fits o.s. 18, 21, picco 21 ,26 and probably a few others as well. At least I'm hoping it fits my picco, the ofna starter has a real wimpy looking string.:\

anyone know the part number my engine is made for ez start so i want to get the right pull start anyone?

Thanks for the info. I did order the pull start for the Revo and the T-Maxx, just waiting on UPS. Any special precautions that I need to take upon installing them?

The writing on the one-way bearing faces the engine, also there's a little teflon washer that goes in-between the engine and bearing.

I use this as my primary:

I keep this as my backup (fits alkaline C):

I also found that with a piece of silicone tube, I can put an AA in the tube and use it in the C one as well. Considering the 2600+ NiMH AA's are quite a bit higher capacity than my sub-c, I wish that my sub-c one would come apart... I like the twist lock heater better than the spring one. Seems to hold on better.
