I'm using Faskolor paints, just was wondering what psi I should use. I have a 2 gallon air compressor with moisture trap. I have it set at 37psi right now.
I shoot Faskolor at around 25 - 30 psi. So far, Black & Yellow are the only 2 colors I've had to thin out, just a little, with water. I wouldn't go any lower than 25, or any higher than 40.
I use the Paasche dual action gun, and spray Parma paints, slightly thinned, at 35-40. If you are getting it spotty, that usually tells you that your pressure is too low and it's not able to atomize the paint properly.
guess it is different for thinned laquers............ paint also can spatter if you let your trigger snap back. With my Badgar dually I have to gently let the trigger go back into place or the next time I start to spray, spatter splatter splatter.
