I am really not sure what it came off of. I got it on one my my used Savages that I bought and I decided to try it on the Swift. I just assumed that it was a ofna tank because taht is what alot of people use on their Savage's.

Thanks Roger. I assume the one off the MP7.5 will be OK? Do they have the overspill drain like the stock Swift tank?

Thanks for your continued support and good luck with the new product lines.

Hi Roger,

Do you have a master list of "compatible" parts for the Swift, such as the Kyosho tank? Although Parts are plentiful now, I'm concerned about future availability. I can also understand if you'd rather keep that info confidential.

I need a pull-start from the stock SH engine for the Swift. Nobody I've talked to will just sell the pull start and I can't afford a new motor plus I don't know which ones can just drop right it. I think I remember someone fabbing up a block-off plate to allow for a bump start box which I'd consider as well.

Any word on interchangeable parts lists? Maybe we can start our own?

The pull starts for the Dynamite Mach .26, XTM 24.7 and possibly the HPI big blocks (Savage 21, 25) should fit the SH .21.

You can block off the stock back plate with a short cap head M6 bolt and locknut.

There's a few of the HPI Savage pull starts on ebay but they all require a one-way bearing. Can I use the one in the SH (assuming there is one)? For the others you listed I guess I'll just have to check online hobby shops.

Yes the HPI .21 pullstart for the >21 and the S-25 engines fir the SH 21. The Mach .26 pull start will not fit on it though.

Kyosho shock bladders fit.
GS Storm front bumper can be modified to fit.
I'm investigating Mugen diff parts at the moment.

I got this list of compatible parts from PRP:

1) Kyosho tank ( 7.5 version )
2) Mugen MBX4 upper arms
3) Mugen MBX5 complete knuckle arms set ( steering knuckles, pivot balls, pivot nuts, pvot ball spacers ).
4) Kyosho wing
5) MIP CVD's for the kyoshos

I'm trying a set of Mugen CVDs this weekend and I'll let everyone know. I couldn't find the MIP CVDs for sale anywhere.

Last night I rebuilt my front end with Mugen knuckles, pivot balls and CVD sets. Everything works except the Swift wheel hubs are just a little too tight. I'm looking for Mugen wheel hubs before I modify my Swift hubs.

dxm2.... thanks! in shanghai there is NO proper OFF ROAD track... so we resolve to run our SWIFTs ONROAD instead!!!!

Hey Mop, I run my swift on pavement as much as I do on dirt. In fact, I'm working a front wing.
Also, I've successfully rebuilt my front end with Mugen outdrives and Mugen CVDs.

Did you have to modify (shorten?) your outdrives at all?
Are the Mugen driveshafts shorter than the Swift ones?

dxm2,
Front wing for ONROAD RUN? are u sure the front wing can make your buggy faster or even hugging the road?

what tyre u use when u runon pavement?

James that day (in the video) use this tyre in the picture. I call it ELLEGI HARD RUBBER TYRE coz the rubber is a solid rubber and it doesn't have infill in the tyre. i am now asking around in the internet how to buy that tyre. The tyre was a gift from a friend in ITALY. The traction of that tyre is MARVELOUS and can also be use for 1/8th car MANTUA MODEL.

picture of tyre?

Hi Niggle,

I had already shortened the Mugen outdrives when I couldn't get hardened Swift PRP outdrives, so I haven't tried the Mugen CVDs with Mugen Outdrives in stock form, but I bet they would work. The Mugen CVDs are about 2/3 as thick as the chome PRP CVDs and its this difference in thickness that requires the Mugen Outdrives to shortened.

Mop,

The idea of the wing was to lessen steering push in high speed turns, also, just to look cool. I have three sets of onroad tires: Proline Road Rages, PRP Foam Slicks and PRP Rubber Slicks. I can't recommend the Road Rages for much more than a photo shoot, cause they look great. The PRP Foams work GREAT on smooth surfaces and the PRP Rubber Slicks work Ok once the camber is set pretty flat. My next set of onroad tires will be these Ofnas: http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXNT02&P=7

We need a new class called "Forumla Buggy"!
