Yes, all the Swifts and the RDLogics SHO are made by Nanda Racing in China.

The Swift Pro has some upgraded parts compared to the RTR models sold by PRP and RDLogics.

now what i would like to know is will a swift keep up to a ofna ultra lx comp and also which ofna is better the ultra lx gt comp or the ultra mbx comp?

I've got a swift and they are very good cars i recommend that for parts in the UK you use www.racing-cars.com I've jst bought a rex x pro and it out does the swift in every area but i still luv that swift even though it eats clutches and tires lol

This may be a silly q, but after learnin how to tune my buggie, iv had the thing flying. but, my buggie is now in need of some work..

i need to unscrew, the Heatsink Engine Mounts on ,my swift buggie, so i can get the engine off the main chassis. could someone please tell me what kind of tool i will need for this please, Hex screwdriver? size?

also what do you guys recommend, for a nice tool set for the swift buggie?

Assuming that your car is as it came from the factory and that you mean the screws that fasten the engine mounts to the chassis, you need a 3.0mm hex wrench.

If you mean the screws that fasten the engine to the mounts, you need a 2.5mm hex wrench, and I prefer to use a ball-driver for this purpose.

All Swifts are supplied new with a full set of metric Allen keys for this purpose. Did you acquire your Swift second-hand?
 
I used to own a swift b4 itz a really good buggy but the only problem i used to have waz the front arms snappin wenva i crashed (this was my first ever buggy lol) but overall a very good car

i have already sorted it now. i bought the swift, new, from schu in the uk, but i can't seem to find the keys i got with it anywhere.

all sorted now tho,i must say I'm happy with the swift. ya can't go far wrong considering the spec and price, not bad for a first time buggie, to start with i guess.
 
Hey guys, I'm a swift owner aswell. So far I've added an OS RG .21 because I had a lot of problems with the stock engine and I would advise any keen racer/basher to switch engines because you can and will feel a difference. I've also added a JP-1 tuned pipe - this combination of pipe and engine give me a tonne of bottom end which is what I'm after and is what my track requires as it is very short and you need short bursts of speed. I've also added a new Hitec 645 MG steering servo and a new MX3 radio system (I know some versions of the swift came with this radio stock but mine came with a blazer sport AM radio so I switched that as soon as I could) The servo was a must because the stock servos just dont cut it for me, I added this along with a venom failsafe which (which, mind you, didnt work the 1 time I needed it because the recieve battery managed to brak loose of the car on a odd landing so this just disabled the failsafe all together and the car went runaway and got caught up in reeds 1 meter away from water!). I also just installed new GPM shocks that were an upgrade for the Kyosho 777, I'm yet to test them but they look and feel great and finally I've also just ordered a new set of stainless screws from RCScrewz.

I havent had much problems with the Swift over the 2 year period I've had it. It was my first 1/8 buggy and I must say that it hasnt let me down that much. Parts havent been a problem as I either order them from acehardwarehobbies.com or parts for the RDLogics SHO buggy as these 2 buggies are almost identical..I'm actually begginning to think that my buggy might be a SHO..the guy who sold it to me said it was a Swift but when I opened it up it came with the blazer sport radio and same body as the SHO. But mine has carbon fiber for the radio tray and a plastic radio box..so I really dunno what to think, perhaps someone could shed some light on this problem? If anyone could that would be awesome.

At the moment I'm also looking yo somehow maybe upgrade to a two speed? Has anyone dont this to the swift? If so what do I need to do parts wise? Is it even possible or is it even worth doing to the swift? All help would be greatly appeciated!

Hey nice thread.i've looking for one for my swift for ages but it seems everywhere that people boycot that bug.

so far i need to change the shocks

any idea for a few hopups?

The Swift Pro shocks are much stronger and more efficient.
 
WOW! 92 Pages and still going strong! Let's shoot for 100!

I recently installed the Spektrum radio system on my Swift and really like it. The radio isn't any great improvement over the Airtronics M3, but the convienence is great. I also just got a set of the Forged shock towers, I hope they last better than the stock ones.

Also, for shocks, I just go to Ebay and buy sets that are being parted out from new kits. I have two sets of Mugen shocks and two sets of Ofna shocks plus the original swift shocks that need rebuilding.
 
As mentioned on another thread, my Dad has bought a Swift 2 RTR for my son, and its a mahoosive compared the the 1/10's i have had.

Will be running in the weekend hopefully.

I was comtemplating different cars, but my Dad has gone and got this one.

It looks very tough from first impressions, just gotta wait and see.

The weather was atrocious at the weekend.

Right, ran it in using the heat cycle method on Wednesday, and raced it on Sunday. All i can say its a cracker!!. It kept up well the Traxxas truggies and alike. It handled like a dream.

I spent 6 hours on the track with my boy, and went through over half a gallon, and would have carried on all night if light permitted.

The only breakage was the exhaust carrier grub came loose, a snapped antenna tube and a bent front suspension shock, which leads me on to this question;

What front shocks can i upgrade to?. I dont want to spend £20 on the replacements.

new to me swift

i just picked one up complete with airtronocs system
i got it through a package deal and have no use for it
i checked all the electronics they work great
started and checked the engine perfect condition
just wondering if anyone is intersted???
or how much should i sell it for?

You can sell it in the for sale section, but you need to reach 100 posts before you can.

I assume from your post you are only selling the radio gear?. Price?? I would assume try selling it at 75% of the retail price?
