From what I've seen, all the stamped shock towers have those holes oversized. I saw the prototypes, complained, and the plea went to deaf ears.

The upgrade parts were going to be black until Mario Hudy complained about "Chinese companies" ripping off his stuff. European and American companies never copy anything, of course. Apparently Hudy has a trademark on black anodizing with machined edges (<---joke!).

We just changed the upgrade parts to a copper color. The edges of those were supposed to be machined too.

Can I get a link to a place where I Can buy the upgraded parts such as front shock towers?

thanks to all the people who posted on this thread....I avoided buying a first gen. Swift and a lot of headaches.........

anyone want a swift chassis? no electronics, could come with the original engine if you want it. car is 95% complete, just in pieces. i took it apart to replace the chassis and never got around to putting it back together. its missing the clutch and flywheel, some of the throttle linkage, and a few screws (like 5), EVERYTHING else is there. i have brand new mbx-4 arms for it, chassis is brand new, front brace is new, servo tray is new. diffs are all shimmed and filled 5,7,1 fluid, and anything thats still bolted together is locktited. chassis and engine have 3/4 of a gallon on them. this would be great for someone wanting to get a 1/8th scale on a budget, or someone that wants a parts car for spares. pm me an offer if your interested.

does anyone know if any other diff gears fit the swift...i ask because its a right pan n the backside to remove the diff bearings to clean them etc..you have to strip the whole damn diff down!!!
isnt there any diff gears that would fit that use an output shaft with the drive cup grubscrewed on,like the old kyosho's etc used to have so its easy to remove bearings?

Don't apologize for the Stratus body! I think that's the best mod I've ever seen on a Swift!

Does anyone know if the Hyper 7 parts will fit. I've been offered a box of bits and wondered if they would fit my swift.

I've also lost my instructions that I got with it. Does anyone know where I could obtain a copy?

Thanks

Ste

I'm pretty sure the only things that will fit are the wheels and maybe some of the linkages. I know for a fact that the brake pads and diffs are smaller and do not fit. I don't think any of the suspension arms can be used without extensive modification and even the holes in the wings are different spacing.

If you get a Hyper 8 Port engine, these do fit and work extremely well, I run one in my Swift.

I bet you can still get documentation if you email the guys at www.powerracing.com.

I just installed a Ofna tank in my Swift and I hope it cures the crazy too rich too lean conditions the stock tank has. Will let you guys know if it helps or not.

Ace Hobbies has all the Swift Parts. I just bought a bunch of front end parts such as pivot balls and lower arms and they had everything. I also called them just to confirm that they would have them and they said they have everything on the parts list.

Also, I've had good luck with Sheldon's Hobbies, http://www.sheldonshobbies.com/. They also have Swift parts and they have always provided excellent customer service.

Well the ofna tank mod worked great on the Swift. It held a tune great and it only leaned out bably at the end of the tank. I would post a part number if I had one handy.

That's encouraging. Is that the same tank that is fitted to the Hyper 7, or one of the other OFNA models like the 9.5?
