if you calculate the prizes, the new pro kit has for 180 pounds or 260 euro/300.00 usd of tuning parts included !

not including 3 sets of 4x shock springs
and I notice now the springholding nut that goes onto the treathed shocks has even a nylon security-lock into it, like the TTR S3 !

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately, I think part of my problem is that I'm 7700ft above sea level and this seems to increase the severity of the problem. I tuned it so it was running great at full tank, then richened the idle needle by about 1/8th of a turn. Even so, right around 1/2 tank you can hear the car is running leaner and once it stalls, it will not start back up again. Richening the mixture at half tank will get it going again, but then once I fill up again, I have to readjust and lean it out a bit.

I have no LHS so I can't take the car to some other experienced R/Cer to make sure everything is good and adjusted properly. It took me forever to get the car adjusted right so that it would run decently (the factory settings didn't work at all) and so I really hate to mess with the settings. I want to get it set once and be done with it (except for the usual minor tweaking).
I hate to have to buy some Mugen part because I have to order it online but if that's the way to go to get the problem solved, then so be it. It's really frustrating. This tiny problem is preventing me from using the car at all because it usually takes the whole glow charger's charge to get the car running well.

I've fitted a double carbon front brace, here

I cut out a copy of the brace out of 2.5mm carbon sheet & stuck it to the original one, though you could just buy another.

I then trimmed the legs of the body mount to make up for the extra thickness,

My front end should be bullet proof now!

Toolman,

If you want to make it even stronger, glue the two pieces of carbon fiber together so they can't shear against eachother. Although, the last time I hit something head on, it wasn't the front end that failed, I bent the chasis. 65 bucks later, I'm back on road.

Has anyone tried the CV Boots sold by CarolinasRC.com? They are sold as after market covers for the 6 CV joints on an MBX5, but they fit on the Swift and so far are working great.

Yup, glued them together.

On a different subject, has anyone fitted any alternative roll bars to the Swift?
The RPR ones are really soft & only approx 2.1mm dia. Does the Pro come with dfferent roll bars?

Thanks

Tim.

Hi, I just got a used PRP Swift off of ebay, and let me say, first off, wow!
Very impressive!

I had a question though.
Does anyone know where I can find a parts list with pictures?
(Or possibly an exploded view with part numbers?)

I need a couple of parts for it, and I found that Ace Hardware Hobbies has alot of them in stock, but I don't know exactly what I'm looking at.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

Try emailing tech support at the www.powerracingrc.com web page. I've asked them for all kinds of stuff and they have always been very helpful, I bet they'd fax it to you. Their support has always been GREAT!

Also, read the entire Swift Buggy Owners Forum on this site. It contains all the info you need to keep the car together.

I've scanned and PDF'd the manual I got with my car, you can download it here: http://vacated.net/carstuff/swift.pdf (17MB)

I'm in Australia, so I'm not sure if my car is the same as the US or UK version.
See here for Pro parts list (Wait for the images to load).

Hope this helps.

To all you Swift Pro owners out there, what size anti-roll bars come with the Pro kit?

Thanks

Tim.

seems to me
front 2,9 mm
rear 3,4 mm

Ok Thanks, thats more like it.
With the stock ones you can raise one wheel without even moving the other!

Now I know what I'm looking for.

Alrighty then...I think I'm going to get a Swift :smoke: . I've read all these pages and everything else i could find on this buggy. I realize there are some issues but overall the car doesn't need anything major to tweak it. I think I'll be alright buying a RTR kit as I'm needing a new radio anyway, but I'm no Airtonics fan. I might be able to find a dealer who will swap the radio out for a Futaba :) . A hobbyshop near me, (2hr drive) carrys the car but does not know if he has the 2nd (or 3rd?) production run. Is there a sure way to check if its up to date? Kit #, stamp..ect.

thanks

Ok I've found the kit # for the Pro from the Nanda website. Swift Pro Also a page with the pro parts. Pro Parts
Hope I can get a deal on the rtr from my dealer. I see a lot of parts I'll be buyin. :devious:

selling PRO kit

I'm still selling my swift pro kit untouched
I made a choose and I continue with my other cars
anyone interested give me a pm to make an offer
