RC Driving Style
I've had a set of Velocity 6 proline wheels on my maxx for a while now, and when I took them off to clean them I've noticed small cracks on the inside of the rims where the swingarms are I dont ride the maxx to hard. Anyone else having the same problem
 
I haven't ran them but alot of guys at my LHS said to stay away from those wheels cause they do strip out and crack easily
 
That sucks bro,

I haven't had any probs with my VEl. 6's on Big joes but then again, I don't use them for bashing.

TO bad RPM doesn't make wheels to fit on the Proline 40 seriies tires.
 
Your talking about wheels for 40 series tires right?? I honeslty don't know what fits them other then the Proline wheels but I'd love to know myself.

I just bought a set of Hot Bodies Dagger wheels. So far they look good. But since it's freezing out, I haven't run them. They seem pretty beefy. They're chromed nice. And they even have the chrome already stripped on the bead so you can glue the tires right up. I'll just have to see how durable they are...

I run stock rims and havn't had any real issues. I've cracked the bead on the back side of the rim. But other than that, I havn't stripped any or completely desimated a rim. I still run the original stock ones on a new set of skins. I probably have about 3 gallons on those original rims now.
 
Alot of peeps with like Orion .26 and Picco .26 and even a sirio .27 user uses the TRX Sport Maxx rims. They are cheaper, lighter, and alot more durable. I think those are a nice choice. Just my :2cents:
 
HGow much do the stock t-maxx rims cost? I mean they and the tires survived the BMW. The chassis, chassis brace, servos, shock tower, basically everything up front did not survive, except the tires and wheels.
