well i will be starting to race in a week or so and i bought a new set of proline 40 series bowtie and some velocity yellow rims and that is what i will by running. Well i went to the track today and now WOW my maxx is way faster then it ever has been and it corners much better then be4, but now it seems like i top out way faster down the striaght away. well i changed my gearing around and now it seems to work perfect for this track. Well i guess i was just wondering how many people out there use these tires for racing and it they like the as much as i do. Also wut other tires out there are good for racing? :fro:
thanx me

almost every MT and truggy racer on the pro circut use proline 40 series tires.
they are a good choice to race with.

I have heard they are kind of hard on diffs but dont know for sure. I do know I would like some on my maxx they are freaking awesome :)

I'm on my second set of 40 series Bow ties and I really like them for an all around race tire. I personally have not experience any issues with premature diff failure. The only situation where they cause me problems is if I'm in the first heat after the track has been watered down. The bowties quickly build up mud in the cleats and create a serious push, but it's kinda fun "dirt tracking" through the turns....fun...not necessarily fast...but fun!

well i tried them out on our race track and i am amazed how awsome they are and wow the grip like mad crazy but the only thing that i have to get used to is they are lighter then stock and it steers way to easy now but i have a week to get used to it thanks for the info guys
thanx me
