Saw a nice paint how-to on page 124 of the June06 RC Car Magazine.
Thought I would give it a shot.

Dively's liquid mask, and Dry-Erase Marker flame sketchings.
The Dry-erase is nice to work with. Wipes off easily with your finger.
Just don't slide it across the towel your working on or its gone as well......

I can pretty much count the layers, by bathroom trips for the hair dryer <G>........

This is a first for any freehand work. I have an Iwata Eclipse HP-CS coming,
but did the best I could with the VL. I hope I can still continue to use the acrylic FasKolors with it.
Like to spray (and breath) in the hobby room.
Templates are by Artool. Keyword is "skullmaster" on ebay......

I mixed the beige-tan bone coloring myself......

If you look closely, you can see the black overspray on the (roof) yellow part.
Lesson learned: Use a tack rag, maybe some denatured alcohol......

Done entirely with FasKolors, and sealed with "sprint white" spray can.
Hope y'all enjoyed it!

Damn that think came out awsome! I'm loving the eye head lights.
By the way is that an Alteza body (Lexus IS300)?

This one was actually alot of fun to do. Just some patience with one layer at a time, then I'd look at it and figure which layer is next.

The body is an HPI Vauxhall Astral. My buddy likes them because they handle great on his Pro4. This one is a 200mm for his NTC3, but its more like a 190 with flares.

Looks pretty sic..not really into the death look but the skills to get them to look like they are in motion is off the hook.

Ed.... does your wife know this?

I like the red threw the yellow, like the strak marks. Looks sick. Nice work.

Its funny you should mention those. I really like them too, but I think they can be done much better by applying some of that "true-fire" technique to them. Think I could have used the darker orange for better shading.

looks sweet, I'm just like playing about with my old rush evo shell atm, was a dirty horrid red but I'm like practising spray paintin on it atm, results have varied LOL

but gettin better

bet it dosent stay that clean for long either :P

infact bets after your first run your gonna need to clean it off ^^

Nice painting skills, I really like the headlights! Myself, I have a hard time with stick figures, two colors are a joke, I think I will just finger paint my next body LOL
