Thanks buddy, I'm extremely pleased with the outcome. I'll have to borrow a video camera, but I definitely plan on posting up some vid. They do make a full Rustler kit ya know? ;)

Well, guess what we got today?

So of course I had to go out and run it, you know, just to make sure everything worked and all.:hehe: (I know....the body doesn't fit)

Almost have enough to finish it up now!

So... What are you going to do for a body?!?!?

I dunno know yet man, I'm torn. I'm gonna mount up the new shoes, then decide whether to stay MT, or go truggy style.

I love build threads, great work  I'm glad you got rid of the purple,it sucks!

Thanks man. I've built a everything from RC cars to motorcycle engines in the last few years. I've always wanted to do one of those watch it progress build threads, just never got off my tail and did it till now.

Well, I ended up doing some more to the truck. I got a smoking deal on a set of FLM extended arms, and CVD drives. So I picked up those, an RPM bumper, and some little detail pieces. It's done with the exception of a new body. I cannot wait for the weekend to drive this thing!!!!!!!

This showed up today

Put heat shrink around the CVD pin keepers

Thanks man, I'm happy with how it turned out. I'll definately get some vid of it in action. Yeah, I'll be running 3S lipos in it. Got a couple charged and balanced just praying for good weather this weekend.

Duh, I didn't post up a shot of the whole truck completed (Have you seen my helmet by chance Rolex?) I'm anxious to try out the new Badlands also.

It's DONE!!

I'm waiting on something before I do a body for it, but the Savvy body fits just about right for the time being though.

Are those RPM wheels? they look like the RPM's I used w/ my MT Badlands. very nice. I bet with the extended chassis that thing just might have some good handling in the air and not be prone to flip so much...

Good eye, they're RPM Revolvers. I'm hoping it helps, we'll find out if the weather will ever cooperate.

Looking really good. Please wax it before you put it up on the shelf. :D

I have your helmet. Someone told me to get on a bus out of town, and naturally I assumed it was a short one, so I'm prepared.

Why thank you sir, it's tempting to keep it nice and mint, I have to admit. But I'm dyin' to drive it at this point. Keep up with that helmet for me, if I don't get some time to get out and play soon, I might need it for self preservation LOL.

I made this for the truck tonight, should make a big difference for those high speed pavement runs. Touring car stiff front end as fast as you can change two bolts.

Damn nice homemade sway bar. But I have a question. Why no billet wheelie bar???

Thanks man, not that I've got it shaped the way I want it, I need to pull it off there and polish it to a nice sheen to match the rest of the truck. I left the stock plastic wheelie bar, bearing carriers, and went with a plastic RPM bumper in the hopes they would act much like the crumple zones in a real car in the event of a crash. Whereas the plastic can flex and twist, the alloy can't, and will just bend. As I'm sure you know from bikes and atvs, you can usually only bend aluminum back into place once, the next time it will crack along the bend line.

Lol. I usually can't bend it back without it breaking the first time much less a second bend. Main reason I have zero bling on my bashers or my bike. I get it for the bumper but a wheelie bar with springs like Ralph's setup would look too cool.

very true about the bumpers, after wasting $$$ on Al bumpers on my LST2 I went back to stock and haven't broke them since, of course not running into things would help also:\. I am wondering if with the extended 1/8 chassis if wheelies will even be an issue although it is still really light. anway can't wait to see that thing run...

Yeah, his setup is super trick for sure. The options for the Pede are more limited, and the only alloy bar I found that I liked the looks of was Integy. And I WILL NOT put any Integy stuff on this truck, or anything else I own for that matter.

Yeah, I kinda figured as much on the bumpers from past experiences. It still wheelies at will in the house LOL, still haven't had a chance to see just how fast I can be going and still loft the front end. I can't wait to see it run either man.

Hey Al Gore, where's my global warming you SOB?:hehe:

It took a long time, but it's finally finished. There's even a joke at my expense if anyone spots it.

I can't seem to keep bodies on it, it destroys them so I just said screw it and went with the cage only. I also added an RPM wheelie bar mount, as the stock one is terribly designed. I also picked up some sand paws mounted on another set of RPM revolvers of course in hopes that it snows like it did last year. If it's gonna be cold, might as well have some fun. Here's a couple of pics in snow trim.

PS: I love this thing like no RC I've ever owned. Tough as nails, and retarded power on 3S. It never ceases to put a smile on my face.
