  1. Bashing
I have decided to try my hand at a scale rig. Most of you know I love bashing so having a rig sit on the bench for a while will not be easy for me! I'm starting very simple with no real custom work right now but once the truck is together I would like to put an interior in it.

I'm starting with a stock Losi mini Rock Crawler and a TCS L-Trail chassis. Last night I disassembled the mcr and laid out some parts to see exactly what I need to buy. Looks like I short on 4-40 nuts and bolts (you can never have enough) to get everything on the chassis. Here is a shot of what I'm looking at.

Keep searching there is more.

i have to ask, why butter?

I had gone a long time with no sleep and started saying stupid things and the next thing I know one of my friends started calling me butter...And that all you need to know :p:

I too have always wondered why you have a different user name on every forum. I thought maybe it was so you could rip off someone on one forum and then not have your reputation ruined on another one so you could rip them off too.

In all seriousness, he's one of the best sellers I know, and I buy rigs from him ahead of time without pics, before he even knows that they look like.

I know, just givin him a hard time. I buy stuff from him all the time. Glad to know where butter came from, I've been wondering about that one.

Pete, its a beautiful project. Glad to see you moving towards the shelf queen side of a life, even if its only a small step for now. I really dig that l frame a lot. I'm torn between building the 1/18 scaler or 1/9 comp rig first. The new mini slingshot and DNA 1.9 inch comp wheels are sick, but man your truck just looks so dam good. If my hands were half the size they are I could build a tuber, but I have trouble with the 1/10 stuff being too small when I'm used to welding 1.25 inch tube in my roll cages lol.

That's what they make dremels with tiny little grinding attachments for. :hehe:

Glad to see you moving towards the shelf queen side of a life,

Sorry bro but I'm not a fan of shelf queens, it's hard enough scratching up money to buy rigs to run much less one that will just sit there. Maybe when I'm as old as Rolex and can't get out to run them anymore I'll enjoy looking at them:D

This will be a well used trail rig.

As for the user names....I just use whatever comes to mind at the time. Most are connected to an old rc but butter has been sticking with me lately so I think I'll stick with it. I am also know as...

TwinForce on Traxxas board
BigBoy on RCC, Ultimate traxxas, Rc Zone
nascarfan on hobbytalk
brushlesspede on Clodtalk
Butter on BYT, Scale rc, midwest crawlers, the toyz, RCMT, and more I can't remember

majichammer on eBay

I probably forgot a few but I have feedback on most of them.....your welcome to read them all.

man I have enough problems with having to email the admin after I chenge my password because I can't ever remember what i changed it to. I don't know HOW you remember all those user names and which ones go where. I would always be trying to log on the wrong site with the wrong name lol.

Got a few things in for this project! The Chevy body is for a Stampede and a set of 1.9 Mud Slingers on Tamiya wheels...It should be running before long!

I'm slow when it comes to painting so I pulled out the old Wheely King body for some test runs. I just finish testing in with a droop set up and I think I like it!
