My brother acquired an old Proboat recently as part of a work deal. It's a Shockwave55. 5ft long! And it isn't electric and it isn't nitro either. 2-stroke gas Zenoah engine. Gas/oil mix like a chainsaw or weed eater. But the ancient 75mhz radio system on it doesn't work so I was gonna use the receiver & transmitter from my LeTrax Teton. The ESC is messed up on it anyway. No reverse and will only go forward at full speed no matter how lightly you pull the trigger. But the receiver should work on it, correct?

I've had some god luck with Traxxas TQI radio system. Got an old Yokomo going with it and a Velineon Brushless sysem.

Water can disrupt radio signals from my personal experience... so maybe don't cheap out like I often do on land

Well it's old and they didn't have easy ways like apps back then to measure mph, but my buddy said it'll do at least 50mph. He has jet skis and a boat so I trust his judgement
