alright i dont know whats up with my savage but i had this problem before its when i hit the throttle it will go but then make a kind of high pitched noise and rev the engine but it will stay the same speed and not go any faster i know its not the max speed because its pretty slow I'm not taking this in to my lhs because last time they screwed me over for a minor repair so anyone have any ideas on what this is and how to fix it thanks

Hi there stephen, have you tried tightening the nut by the spring in front of your spur gear, i rekon it may be a bit loose, which would cause your spur gear to slip under extreme pressure. Tighten it fully and go back a half a turn. A quick way to check it is to hold down your two back wheels so they dont turn and try to turn your spur gear with your thumb, you should not be able to turn it. Thats all i can think of.
