hi
I'm having problems with my sprint vh-l1, the problem is that when i press the brake it turns off and i have to start it again.
also i can't leave it sat there while i try to put the shell on it because it just turns off.
please could someone help me.

You need to adjust your idle set screw with the brake APPLIED. Turn down the trim to zero, hold the brake and look into the carb and adjust it till it's open about the width of a credit card. Then start the car and fine tune it.

thanks for your help, but I'm very new to the whole nitro rc world. I'm trying to learn more about it. I've only had my rc car for a week.

is it normal for it to take a long time to start? it takes like 5 minutes, then it cuts out sometimes when I'm driving and i have to start it again.

It's all due to carb settings. They need to be adjusted as you go through the break in process, and again for performance.
At times, they can be very stubborn during break in, especially when you don't know which one to adjust, or which way.
Check out the .pdf file in the 'sticky' on top of the General Nitro forum for what to look for and how to adjust it.
