RC Driving Style
  1. Bashing
hi everyone
had my savage 4.6x out this last couple of days on the field by my house and was running well, wheelies, etc

however this evening i had it out was going ok and when i refueled it it now seems as if it is only driving from the front wheels

eg. when driving it is only going half the speed that it should and if you drive it in a circle one of the front wheels expands and looks like a truggy.

am new to this hobby so hopefully someone can point me in the right direction

sounds like you may have lost a grub screw on the drive cups between the trans and rear diff. i would check there first.

could you explain what to look for in simple terms.
havent a clue what I'm looking for

flip the truck over and look at the bottom. you will see two driveshafts one to the front and one to the rear.

at the end of those shafts are some cups that hold the end of the shafts on the trans and diff. those have a hole through them with a threaded pin that keeps them from spinning. you probably lost one of these threaded pins.

thanks guys

just had a look and grub screw is missing

have just ordered new ones

when you get them, pick up some blue threadlock and use it! any screw that screws into metal needs threadlock.

And for some reason, the savage hates having those screws in it. Even blue liquid thread lock doesn't hold them in. I've had better luck using blue locktight gel. When it cures, it gets tacky/gummy and tends to hold them in better.
