problem with fail safe

only when i am running my stock revo it will go from a blue light to a red light on my truck then it has no steering . it does this on and off every few second when i am running. please help i can't even drive it !:(
 
When you lose steering, do you lose throttle too? If it's the opti drive, just by-pass it and plug in direct.

Only do that if you're running the 2.4GHz system, otherwise you lose all fail-safe features
 
so if i plug in direct i will still have a fail safe?is the opti drive just for reverse or does it have other features?
 
i know on my revo , if i take the optidrive off , i lose all failsafe features ...even with the 2.4 ghz radio ....i had to learn that the hard way ..and i did plenty of testing after that ..and i never was able to get any kind of failsafe features with no optidrive in my truck ...if you take it off , i would put another failsafe just to be sure

both my revo's have 2.4 ghz radio ..and they both do the same thing

also , might be a bad servo that is causing your problem ...i had a bad throttle/break servo ..and thats what it did ....took one of the steering servo to replace it ...and everything worked just fine after that
