Pro-Pulse Radio?

Hi everyone.

Don't know if this is where this goes but...

Would a Radioshack Pro-Pulse radio,esc and reciever would work on a Tamiya 1/14 Ford Aerostar?

I want to know before I spend $300 on one of these big rigs.

It should work, but I wouldn't recommend it. The Radio Shack RC stuff is pretty much all toy-grade. You'd be better off buying a decent 2.4 GHz radio for around $80 like the Spektrum DX3e.

If that's the case I'll have to save up more.

I was thinking about getting a new radio that would work with both a Tamiya big rig and my Traxxas S-Maxx.

Any Ideas under $100? Other than whats said.

Venom has a 2.4 coming out for under $50 for the transmitter and receiver.

Only good for one model though.
