any ideas where i could find out exactly what parts i would need to upgrade to a trx 3.3 please? all i can find over the internet is trx 2.5 upgrade kits but seeing heaps of youtube videos with people having 3.3 installed

The upgrade kit is all you need. It's the mount and linkage to run a slide carb engine. What vehicle is this for? I know you've told us, but I forget.

good to know cheers bud. I've got a traxxas sport going to keep it the way it is for now when I'm out of the noob stage ill start playing around

When it comes time to upgrade, I'd seriously consider just going for a quality .15. Say an O.S. There's many other options as well. A quality engine of the same displacement will make way more power and rpm's. Anything bigger in that ride would probably be overkill, make it hard to control and use more fuel than necessary.

I'm with Matt. I'd say no more than the OS .18. It's got enough power to push a Revo or T-Maxx around.

+1. .18 if your going to run bigger than stock tires. Say, 2.2 mt tires. If your going to stick to the stadium truck tires(same size as stock), a .15 would be plenty. I bet a .15 O.S. screams.:)

Would an OS .18 drop into a Nitro Sport chassis? Would it be too much power for a 2WD platform?
