got this old pro 1.5 running thought it would have a little more power. new piston, sleeve rod put it in place of my 2.5 (awaiting the arrival of my 3.3) not to impressed with the performance went through the break in process finally got to were i thought it was ready to run did a little running in the driveway. ran kind of slow to c how it was tuned did a little tweaking not at all impressed. patiently waiting on that 3.3. anybody have any comments on the 1.5?

The Pro 1.5 is Traxxas' first Maxx engine. I had one in my old Maxx (had a first run t-maxx, came with a clear body), and as soon as it wore out I put in a Megatech .16. It was a night and day difference.

The upside is, you can use the Pro 1.5 for the trade-in program towards a better engine.

Ah, well, you can always sell the Pro 15 for a few bucks. It's not a terribly fast engine, but it'd be enough to get a truck going.
