Ok guys here I go again this hyper 7 will drive me to drink. I am trying to get her primed for the first time and can't get any fuel to the carb. If I unhook the fuel line and blow from the exaust it will flow but as soon as I hook back up to the carb its like trying to blow up a hot water bottle no go, fuel won't move. Is there a possibility that there is some restriction in the carb. Any in put would be great. (Must be a Monday buggy)

Depending on how new you are to this stuff, the answers may seem redundent.

But, did you plug the exhaust tip while you were turning it over? Is it pull start or bump?

On my 21 maxx, I plug the exhaust tip with my finger, pull the starter a couple times and it's primed. I don't think I've ever had it prime without plugging it first.

I tried the finger over the pipe while I bump it but the fuel only moves about 1/4" and then stops. It is a bump start and there is no pull on this one.

Even if you open the throttle a little bit? Maybe your idle screw is set to far out letting the barrel (sp?) close completely which isn't allowing fuel/air flow.

Rhyton, the best way to prime the carb is to plug the exhaust stinger and turn the engine over just a little bit. If it won't hold fuel like that you should check your fuel lines and make sure there are no cracks in it. Also check the fuel tank and make sure it has a good seal. Where is the high speed needle setting at?? It should be turned out considerably. If it is screwed in like closed than it most likely will not hold fuel. Also check the engine and see if the back plate is loose and also check the tightness of the head bolts. There may be a couple of other areas you want to check but that should do it.

hey whats up mark.do you have the glow plug in.or out when you are trying to bump it
