Hi I didn't know where to put a price quote thread so I just put it here if that's ok. I have a rusty and I want to sell it for a T-maxx. or I could maybe trade on here. There is a ton of extras with it. So it may add up to a used T-maxx. The current pictures are in my gallery and have the words "price quote" in the title. I was just wondering wat someone would pay for it. It's NOT for sale yet. I just want some price ideas, that's all. Here's all the stuff it comes with:
Traxxas nitro rustler, Nova Rossi .12 Mugen bump start racing engine with purple anodized head, fuel filter, alum. threaded T-maxx shocks on the rear, stock rear rustler shocks in front, HPI MT rims with proline dirt hawgs on the rear, half mini knobs half ribbed on front, alum. rear shock tower, alum. front bumper new front shock tower, New left caster block, OFNA air filter, Traxxas TQ3 radio and reciever, Alum. T6 chasis, Metal spur gear, new on/off switch, Dodge black truck body, Original Proline red/silver body, custom body clips, Ofna True-start 1/10 bump start.

Extras: engine mounts, EZ start w/ wire harness for the TRX .15, front shock tower, battery holder, some wires, HPI radio & reciever, 2 caster blocks, full set of drive shafts, spring for pipe header, plastic spur gear, fly wheel w/ nut, shock spacers, 2 stock front rustler shocks, one extra red T-maxx shock, graphite rear shock tower, bearings, 6 red shock springs, 2 blue shck springs, everything is there for putting stock rear shocks back on.

I think that's finally it.
Description: Runs real good. I'v ran about 1 1/2 quarts of 10% Traxxas Top Fuel through it is all. It starts quick and runs great in really cold weather. Likes the snow. Waterproofed reciever. Very fast! Rips the dirt up.

I have one piece of advice before you put it up for sale.

Clean it. Clean everything including the tires. Make it look brand new. It will be easier to sell and you may get more $.

You will have to wind up paying a little money to the person that you are going to trade with if you want a newer style maxx. If old style maybe not.

I know I probably will clean it but how much do you think I could get?

I forgot it comes with an extra clutch bell too

Everything works too

I know that but it's not for sale yet. I'm just asking how much I could get for it that's all dude. :fro: -xmas-

And by the way, about how much extra would I have to pay to get a newer style T-maxx if I traded?

Nobody is going to be able to answer your question. It is only worth what someone is willing to pay. Good luck finding anyone willing to trade a 2.5 maxx for you rusty and cash. Your best bet is to clean it up, put it up on ebay with a minimum bid or reserve and get the cash. If it sells that is. Then buy a new t-maxx. Lots of people on ebay are selling used 2.5's.

I would if anything do as rob said since on one really wants an old rusty. I would take off all of your quote un quote hop up parts sell them separately and put it back to stock and get set to take a loss. Later

yep . rc cars are just like real cars. they get less and less valuable as soon as they leave the store, no matter what you put on it. I ended up trading my savage for an SS and 50 bucks ... and the savage was all kinds of hooked up. you never get what they are worth.

Well that sucks. I'v looked at lots of T-maxx's on ebay. I'v also looked at prices of what rusty's r selling for. I figure I can get about $180 for it all. What do u guys think? I might have to sell it for the cash and get a maxx. A trade would be much quicker. I am willing to spend $50 more on a maxx than what I get for the rusty. And I'm takin' about T-maxxes with like a gallon run through with everything included for the EZ start.

IT's now for sale in the FOR SALE forum.
