I am looking to get a nitro buggy, most of my friends have inferno's, however they havent been into racing for 2 years so I dont beleive they are in the loop much anymore but they keep pushing me toward that model. I am somewhat a beginer and I do not want to just buy a rtr and try to race. I know I need to upgrade at least radio and cervos, etc...I just would like any info on some models out there right now that are a solid car with parts easily available, any input would help , thanks

Well for a high end kit.Go with the Mugen MBX5 prospec..Or the XB8..

middle of the road I would go with the PCR pro.

How much are you looking to spend initially and then how much afterwards?

I recently purchased an Ofna Hyper 7 PBS RTR Mach28 edition, it was my first RC Nitro purchase and I'm tickled with it.
I did get another Tx and Rx (Airtronics MX-3 and Novak XXL) and went with a hitech945MG servo for steering and a hitech 645MG throttle servo.

It performs very well and is tough and if I had it all over to do again,,I'd go the same route,,but I have little experience with RC's, so don't take my word as gospel.

It's been a learning experience, as it's not all smooth and easy. But, my problems have been minimal and easily corrected.
