I am looking at purchasing a Power supply unit, to use with my Triton and ICE Chargers I have currently.

I was looking around the net and came upon a couple, but the LRP power supply really interested me.

Does anyone use this particular power supply? If so how good is it?
I like the Fact that it is compatible to 110V-220V, hence I travel a lot and need that 220V option.
Also, does anyone know what the output voltage of the LRP power supply is? Tower does not have it listed somehow, nor does team associated have it listed on there site.. Am I missing something?

I used to have a ProPeak 20 Amp Power Supply, never really liked how it performed, and it did not live long with me. I am wondering if anyone out there has a suggestion for a power supply unit that they are using currently and would like to recommend it.

I have it and have been very happy with it. It is small enough...not much bigger than the ICE charger... and has never given me any issues. It does comes with two cords for use in the US and the UK or elsewhere. It has like a 12-14 volt output as well as the 14 amp output which meets the specs for LiPo's according to the ICE manual.

Thanks for telling me its output voltage, helps a lot. May I ask how you found out its output voltage?

Does anyone else have any input about this? I will be purchasing the power supply Monday night

Its a good unit and the price is good as well.

it only has one output so you may want to make a Y cord or get a distribution box if you need to run more then one device at a time.

No feedback on the power supply, but I do know for a lot cheaper you can get a Computer power supply and make it look a bit better with some knobs, and reroute some cords. It costs about $30 all in all. You can get power supplies pretty cheap these days. Here is a link, I had one before that had pics but this is all I could find for now:

Great idea:ponder2: IF you don't need amps! "Hope to get 7 amps" pfffft, what good is that.

Thanks for the help guys i went ahead and ordered it a couple of minutes ago. Price was not a big issue with me...

@FastEddy, thanks for the tip...

Hey m, one of the mags had some nice looking plans for a power distribution box not too long ago, may have been XRC

Yep, I think it was the May issue. Cost them about $20.00 in Radio Shack parts and had something like 4 outlets. Pretty slick, actually. If I can dig it up, I'll post up the spec's.

"But, these go to 11!"

Thanks for the link, I actually know of a couple sites that sell computer power supplies that I could use, they cost around $35-$45, not sure about there specs though, but since I am getting a 50% discount I just went ahead and ordered the LRP one, less hassle to deal with.

A distribution box is just a bunch of banana plugs in a metal project box. If you only have 2 units or 3 to plug in, make a 2 way or 3 way pig-tail its cheap and works the same. I like it because it doesn't take up a lot of additional pit space. Make sure yo use a large gauge wire.
