i have a question about glow plugs as you can tell from the title i have a power racing raptor(pause for cat calls and booing savage knockoff yada yada. i am new to the rc sport and am trying to learn all i can about it.the engine in my truck is a toki 27 it runs ok but i can't seem to keep a glow plug working in this thing . would like to know what glow plug you guys would recommend i should be running. air temp around 70 and dry

From the manual; googled Infinity .27, same engine, different colors.
The type and quality of glow plug used in your engine will have
a major impact on overall performance and reliability.
This engine operates best with a plug such as TEAM INFINITY
Silver and Gold, Nova Rossi, O.S. No.8 or ENYA No.3 and No.4.

It's a throw away engine, learn to tune with it. Run it until it pukes, buy something better. It will probably run around 250F, just keep it under 290F.
That truck actually got good reviews, I remember reading the article on it.

the last couple days i have been running a traxxas super duty (long medium) and it is doing pretty well.I inherited the truck and after researching the web have found out that the truck is made by nanda in china.rd logics sells it with gold anodized frame rails for 399.00. exceed rc sells the same truck as the mad beast with purple frame for 699.00 they both have cheesy engines.except for the engine the truck is pretty burly. i have had some pretty hairy crashes with it (learning how to drive rc) and have yet to break anything. the spare parts at exceed rc are really cheap compared to rd logics.I also found a chinese website that actually has alumimium hop up parts, a arms and steering linkage but the shipping costs are twice what the parts cost.

Good deal, but I highly recommend not to buy aluminum arms. They bend and cause other parts to take the impact. If it's not broke, don't fix it!
If the Traxxas plugs work, that's great.

didnt plan on a arms common sense dictates otherwise but i was looking at the steering linkage as mine is plastic and seems to be binding where the skid plate contacts the steering bell cranks.the skid plate on this truck has holes for the bell crank post to fit into and when i tighten the screws that go into the end of the bell post it creates a bind unless i leave the screws very loose.

I never had that issue, very weird. Never heard of anyone having that issue.

Do you happen to have a parts list or contact information for the Power Racing Raptor? I have a truck - although I think it's 2005-2007 vintage, and need to get the upper camber arm for the front right wheel assembly. Know where I can get parts? :\

Power racing raptor parts

IF you will go over to the NITRORCX website you will find that they sell an rc truck called a madbeast. this unit is the same as the raptor and they have all the parts you might need. they are even very affordable. dont let anybody give you a hard time for owning a raptor they are just as tough as a savage, the only negative i have found with mine is that there are not many upgrade type parts to be found. i put a big red 28 in mine and it friggin rips.
