Hey Guys...

I seem to be having a problem with my servo...
Here is what its doing!

When I turn the receiver and carbox on the servo puts the brake on my on road 1/10 nitro car. (Chinese model, its compatible with rs4).
So the servo turns back to turn the brake on and can't do anything with the remote. so the idle adjusment on the receiver wont work and also the strigger on the receiver wont do anything either.
When I turn the receiver and car box off, the the servo will go back in idle position. What is going on guys...
Havent used the car at all for this to happen cause I broke a spur gear like most newbies do apperently lol. so I'm still waiting to get my new gear.

I should get my new gear on monday so I would like to get this problem fix so when I get my new gear I could use the car...

No I dont have a spare servo. But I did switch the steering servo wire on the battery thingie where the throttle servo normally is plugged in and the steering did still work.

Yes, the steering works, also the adjusment on the receiver for the steering works.

thats what I was thinking, but I'm new so I wanted a second opinion first before buying a new servo. What t/b? Sorry if that sounds stupid.
What the price range for a new servo?

I love this site... always get help when needed! And quick 2...

t/b=throttle/brake. I'd just pick up a traxxas servo, or something on the cheap side. Unless you plan to keep the rig around for awhile. Shoot for something in the 100oz torque range. If you want to go with something of higher quality, check out hitec's servos.

t/b = throttle/break....and servos range from 10$ to over 100$$ ...just be sure to get one strong enough to operate the t/b properly ..if its to weak , the carb might not open fully due to the return spring ...and if its to strong , the return spring wont be able to close the carb in case of power loss ....i would try to get one similar to the one you allready have

Thanks guys... very helpfull information!
Like I said before my car is some chinese thingie..
Its that bad that the damn chinese wrote server on the servo..
Its not the same is it? I thing my original servo's are very cheap to begin with so I'm definatly upgrading to something better... should I upgrade my steering servo at the same time??? wouldn't hurt having 2 different servos?

Ill bring my car into my local hobby store and let them tell me what would work good in my car!

thanks Matt, ill be doing that for sure...
I can drive it once my spur gear is in... yeahhh
Is that $40 EACH OR 2

PERFECT.. sounds good to me.
Is there a model number that I could use when I go to my local hobby store?

2075 is the model number. They're very common. The 2075 is the servo traxxas uses to steer most of their vehicles. You may fair better finding one online. They're $34 a piece at my lhs.

Ya thats true 2. Ill check online! Just dont wanna get hit with $20 shipping cost lol. Anyone know a good site in canada with fast shipping lol.. Planning on driving it on monday, fingers crossed lol

If I didn't know better I'd say it sounds like a failsafe kicking in. Mine goes to full brake when the battery voltage is low. Does it have one built in?

What's the model and brand name?

HTH...
Mark

No there is no failsafe hooked up.. Also thought the batteries might be dead, but thats not the case either... Ill be getting a new servo today and we'll see if the problem is fixed...
