RC Driving Style
hey guys, I'm new to this forum and I'm new to this whole RCNITRO... basically I've bought a rc of a mate who he new nothing about the car, (neither do i)... i will take pictures asap so someone could idetify it for me... as i need a body shell ect...

okay my problem is... we had it running today and it seems to fire up ok, basically when i full throttle it then it koncs out or if i leave it to idle it also koncs out but if i give it some revs on idle it then seems to be ok, but only when i rev?

I'm not sure if its something to do with 1 of the needles or so on?
as far as i can see the engine reads... PRO 21...
thanks.

Sounds like tuning to me,do some research on what engine you have and find the factory needle settings, then reset the carb to these specs, also a new glow plug could help,it is quite simple to do this, you should have a high speed needle"the big one" and a low speed when turning them in do not tighten them just screw them until they stop, then simply back them out the specified amount,

you need a temp reader, before anything can be done one way or another

A TEMP READER IS AN ABSOLUTE MUST!!!! NITRO OR ELECTRIC, BRUSHED OR BRUSHLESS, SMALL BLOCK OR BIG BLOCK, LIPO OR NIMH

Yes you need tuning or there is problem in the fuel adjustment, just check the fuel adjustment needle and set it accordingly also check the fuel tank there may be some blockage in the tank or the fuel pipe..

You don't "need" a temp gun, although they are handy.
Check to make sure the exhaust system is intact first. It needs to be on and sealed up with a hose going to the fuel tank or else your engine will only run from idle to mid range.
If the exhaust and fuel lines check out, find your high speed needle and try turning it out a little at a time. Don't forget to let the engine warm up before you try go full throttle on it.
