Platinum Slash

I just traded my old tmaxx for a very clean slash 4x4 platinum and I was just wondering if the platinum came with the aluminum big bore shocks? If so then the guy must have swaped em out with the plastic ones from his other slash.

Yep he got you. My PE 4X4 has alloy BB shocks on it. Bummer

Don't worry about it. You took him for a ride getting a slash platinum for a maxx. It didn't come with a brushed motor, did it?

No its got the velinion brushless system, I think i might upgrade to the mamba max and get those aluminum shocks as well.

i'm not a big traxxas fan, but the velineon setup is a decent setup. imo, it's as good as the castle 1/10 setups, only downfall is you can't use the castle link

my esc did fry though, plugged the battery in and it sizzeled. dunno why.

i ordered another.

Did you have the polarity's messed up? I did the same thing when i had my first electric and also fried my esc!

no, i was using deans connectors, they could only go in one way. i had been running it, shut it off, let it sit in garage came in charged the battery. it was out there for a few days. i brought the charged battery back out there plugged it in and it smoked it.




i got a lot of use out of it before that happened and i bought it used. it might have just been it's time or something, idk.


even though that happened, i still like the velineon setups. i think they work pretty good.
