theres a notch on your piston like a square cut does that go toward exhaust or intake?
 
Towards the main bearing, if you happened to do the rod then the little holes drilled in it should face the same way.
 
so that would be towards the intake correct?
 
u want the notch towards the intake so it pulls the fresh fuel and air into the cylinder... if u take off the header with the piston at TDC you shouldnt be able to see the con-rod
